Spectral Radiometer

A Spectral Radiometer is used at the department of Energy Plant Technology to determine the emitted spectral thermal radiation. It maintains with two detectors (Indium/Stibium and Mercury/Cadmium/Tellurium) covering a spectral region from 1 - 25 µm. A gold-coated off-axis-mirror is used as a launching optic to observe a sample distantly placed from the detector neglecting the influence of the ambient temperature. The radiometer is provided with three ruled diffraction gratings arranged on a grating turret inside the grating monochromator to ensure a nearly continuous spectral resolution. They can be moved by a stepping motor with corresponding steering mechanism.
